GROSSE ILE, MI, May 22, 2023 – The Veteran Owned Business Roundtable (VOBRT) will host its 10th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing on Monday, August 21, 2023. This distinguished charity event, presented by Stellantis, will take place at two championship golf courses – West Shore and Grosse Ile Golf & Country Clubs in Grosse Ile, Michigan.

Last year, the VOBRT’s Scholarship Committee raised a remarkable $19,000 to provide scholarships for college-bound, military dependents, encouraging their growth and supporting their educational endeavors. This year, the organization aims to surpass that impressive figure and widen the impact of its Scholarship programs.

The VOBRT’s annual golf outing is not only a chance to participate in a fun-filled day of golf but also an opportunity to make a substantial difference in the lives of deserving students. The event is sponsored in part by many of the VOBRT’s corporate advisory board members, all of whom share a commitment to fostering education and opportunity.

Once our golfers are done on the golf course at 1:30PM, attendees will be invited to a networking mixer at the Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club. This mixer promises to be a vibrant and engaging session with live entertainment and an atmosphere conducive to building meaningful connections. It will offer participants a unique opportunity to engage with the wider VOBRT community, as well as meet new associates from a variety of industries.

Following the networking mixer, guests will be treated to a lunch banquet and awards ceremony, where they can relax, dine, and celebrate the achievements of the day.

“The VOBRT Annual Golf Outing has always been a fantastic occasion to give back to our community,” says Dave Christie, the VOBRT’s Events Committee Chair. “It’s a day of fun, networking, and most importantly, support for a worthy cause. We are incredibly grateful to our partners, sponsors, and participants who continually help make this event a success.”

Proceeds from the VOBRT’s Annual Golf Outing will fund the VOBRT’s Scholarship programs, which provide financial assistance to college-bound military dependents. The VOBRT acknowledges the sacrifices made by military families and aims to offer tangible support through its scholarship initiatives.

Interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to get involved, either by participating in the Golf Outing or by making a direct donation to the VOBRT’s Scholarship programs. By doing so, they will be making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals and supporting the continued growth of our future leaders.
