Connecting the two would take money, membership and the drive to level the playing field for our military men and women who were serving the country while their peers completed college and established careers and companies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Our Business Model: 4 Core Values<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Advocate <\/strong>\u2013 VOBRT members are awarded corporate and government contracts. Advocacy is advanced through committees:\n<ul>\n<li>Corporate Relations \u2013 Contact major corporations participating in federal contracts<\/li>\n<li>Legislative \u2013 Responsible for regular visitation and communication with state senators and congressmen; emphasizing and addressing issues directly related to VOB interests<\/li>\n<li>Membership \u2013 Using SAM (System for Award Management) and other resources, develop communication with business owners to assist earnest state purchasing managers and major federal contractors in finding competent SDVO and VO businesses<\/li>\n<li>Outreach \u2013 Communicate with VSOs and utilize resources that may be in competition with our interests, but will ultimately add value to membership<\/li>\n<li>Programs \u2013 Identify areas where assistance is needed for VOB success<\/li>\n<li>Taskforce \u2013 Track state\/federal incentives for hiring veterans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connect<\/strong> \u2013 Technology-based efforts, including mobile directory access for real-time availability, enable veteran owned businesses and companies like yours to \u201cmake the connection.\u201d Event sponsorship and education is another way you can serve those who served. We make it easier for VOB to \u201cfind\u201d and \u201cbe found.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Introduce<\/strong> \u2013 Marketing opportunities are introduced to VOBs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mentor<\/strong> \u2013 Guidance, knowledge, and experience can help VOB entrepreneurs succeed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><strong>YOU Can Help VOBRT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Veteran owned businesses need your support and encouragement.
