The VOBRT\u00a0is proud to announce that as of January 21, 2017 we have a whole new executive board. Here\u2019s what it means for the veteran-owned businesses, corporations and government agencies who are members of our organization<strong>:<\/strong><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12930 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/veteranroundtable.org\/backup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/shutterstock_593239823-450x338.jpg\" alt=\"veteran owned business\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veteranroundtable.org\/backup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/shutterstock_593239823-450x338.jpg 450w, https:\/\/veteranroundtable.org\/backup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/shutterstock_593239823.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>New Experiences<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If there is one word that will characterize\u00a0our new executive board it is \u201cexperienced.\u201d The candidates we have assembled have\u00a0spent years working within the VOB community to develop connections and support other veterans. They have also proven themselves adept at running their own businesses and have achieved independent success working hand-in-hand with corporations and government agencies\u00a0to form strong partnerships.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Dedication to the Cause<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Our new\u00a0leaders will continue to help push the <a href=\"http:\/\/directory.veteranroundtable.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/directory.veteranroundtable.org\/\">VOBRT<\/a> to new levels with their dedication to our mission statement. Our goal is to put VOB&#8217;s in contact with those who are making contract decisions, allowing more work to flow back to the hands of those who have already served. This means working with a variety of corporations and all levels of government\u00a0to find business opportunities that benefit our members. We also put veteran owned businesses in connection with each other to form a strong network of service providers who are also willing to mentor one another, when possible to ensure\u00a0no business is left behind.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Continued Community Growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The VOBRT\u00a0advocates\u00a0for over 4,000,0000 veteran owned businesses. Going into 2017, we will\u00a0continue to\u00a0grow\u00a0and become ever more active in our communities, with our programs, special events and networking opportunities. We will also continue\u00a0to advocate and draw\u00a0more attention to VOB&#8217;s so that other corporations will join in supporting the inclusion of veteran owned businesses within their supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>We are confident that the new VOBRT\u00a0leadership will continue to serve its members and the veteran\u00a0community with solid leadership, sound advice\u00a0and effectively formulate new ideas and\u00a0strategies to assist our corporate members in meeting their goals of including VOB&#8217;s into their supply chain.
