The Roundtable was formed in 2005 in response to State of Michigan legislation establishing a goal of 3% of state contracts to be awarded to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business.<\/p>\n<p>The Roundtable has stood on guard to monitor compliance with that promise of (now 5%) state contracting with SDVOSB&#8217;s. This will require a patient and humble approach to befriend those organizations whose scope and sphere of influence are potentially competing with our own. It is, however, another resource for identifying SDVO and VO businesses to make them aware of our work on their behalf. Facilitates networking among state and federal employment specialists to meet and exchange information and ideas with prospective employers.
